Carrillo Power Tools: Multi-Brand Ecommerce Build

Turning a static storefront into a working multi-brand commerce system

A multi-brand ecommerce build designed to connect Shopify, pricing logic, filtering, and responsive commerce workflows.

The Brief

Carrillo Power Tools was close to launch. Inventory was ready, marketing was scheduled, and the launch timeline was fixed. A template had already been purchased and designed, and on the surface it looked close to complete. The real work began when Ryze opened the system up and looked at how the storefront actually needed to function.

Commerce Complexity

Commerce Complexity

The Operational Challenge

The storefront needed to do more than display products. Carrillo was selling tools across five brands, each with its own inventory, navigation, and filtering needs. Products also carried three condition states — New, A+, and A- — each with different pricing logic. The template handled presentation well, but it did not yet support the commerce logic the business needed in order to launch.

System Decisions

System Decisions

System Decisions

Ryze made three structural decisions. First, we built a CMS-driven multi-brand system so each brand could operate independently while still sharing one architecture. Second, we built pricing logic around condition states so pricing could shift dynamically and show value clearly through live Shopify data. Third, we rebuilt the storefront around commerce behavior, making search, filtering, navigation, cart behavior, and responsive layouts work as one connected system.

What We Built

Ryze rebuilt the storefront into a working ecommerce system. The final build included CMS-driven multi-brand architecture, dynamic filtering by brand, product-condition pricing logic, automated Shopify sync, responsive behavior across 1440, 1200, 810, and 390px breakpoints, cart and checkout functionality, and inventory-connected product handling. The site moved from static presentation into a functioning commerce engine.

Operational Change

The finished build gave Carrillo a launch-ready storefront that could support the actual complexity of the business. Instead of relying on hardcoded navigation, incomplete filtering, and manual workarounds, the company now had a system that could handle multiple brands, pricing conditions, responsive layouts, and real-time commerce behavior in one place.
